My name is Sytske Maaijen and it was 2001 when I founded Active Italia.

I was born and raised in Holland, lived for 10 years in Belgium and in 2000 I decided to go living in Italy. The great mix of mountains and lakes, many sports to practise and the nice climate brought me to Trentino. In the Netherlands I studied hotel & travel management and I worked in several countries and industries. With this background and lots of enthusiasm I promote various Italian regions and its services and products. I have a good command of several languages like Dutch, Italian, German and English. A few word to describe myself: independent, positive, responsible, now and then lack of patience, flexible, active. Nature is important to me, enjoy live in a simple way, mountains, lakes, ski touring, mountain bike, photography, writing and reading...
